10 common uses for white vinegar
Vinegar can clean, wipe, deodorize just about everything in your house. Keep it at your hand, along with the normal cleaning products. It is green and less expensive than its alternatives.
Here are some tips about the uses of vinegar in the housecleaning :
- Malt vinegar sprinkled on a rumpled newspaper is a traditional method of cleaning windows, mirrors or DVDs.
- You can keep your colored clothes from running by immersing them in a vinegar distilled solution for 10 minutes before washing.
- Remove stains like : jam, coffee, tea, chocolate, fruit, mustard, deodorant. Gently rub with a brush and then wash as usual.
- Remove smoke smell by adding a cup of vinegar to to a bath tub of hot water.Hang clothes above the steam.
- Clothes will rinse better if a cup of vinegar is added to the last rinse water.
- Clean the iron plate by heating equal parts vinegar and salt in a small pan. Then rub the solution on the cooled iron surface to remove any stain.
Ingenious uses of white vinegar in the kitchen:
- If your leafy vegetables are wilted, soak them in cold water with a little vinegar and they will stand right up.
- After cutting an onion or fish, you can eliminate the odor from your hands by rubbing them with a bit of white vinegar.
For your pets:
- Wipe out itchy ears with undiluted vinegar to keep dogs and cats from scratching at them.
- For outdoor areas, soak a sponge in vinegar and place it in the forbidden area to keep cats away.
