Best orange juice

By Marie Gatti in Anywhere  |  1 year ago  |  0 comments

Best orange juice is obtained from freshly squeezed oranges without adding any other ingredients. Juice can be used when you want to drink something sweet or when you want to add some flavour to sweets and other type of food.

Due to the high content of vitamin C (ascorbic acid), orange juice can be sprayed on fruits and vegetables that turn quickly brown upon exposure to air, to avoid damaging them.

Here are the steps to follow when preparing orange juice. These are some tips that perhaps you didn't know about!

  • Oranges should be kept at room temperature or warm before preparation of juice. This will facilitate spinning. In this way, oranges will release more juice.
  • If oranges are not kept at least at room temperature, warm them in the oven. First, prick the crust with a fork, but without touching the pulp. Oranges should stay in the oven for 20-30 seconds.
  • In addition, they can be heated if left in a pot in which boiling water is poured. Oranges will have to stand in boiling water for 30 seconds.
  • Another way to "warm" oranges is to leave them for three minutes in oven heated to 150 degrees. Wait for some minutes before handling them.
  • Roll the fruit on a table until you feel that the fruit is soft.
  • After that, cut each orange in half. Put them in the squeezer, press down and rotate to release fruit juice.
  • Remove seeds from the squeezer.
  • If you like, you can also add some pulp, collected at the bottom of the juice squeezer, once the seeds have been removed.
  • Serve cold.

Bröderna Olssons Garlic & Shots is a must visit for garlic lovers.

No dishes are served without garlic. You can always order extra garlic, but never less. As you leave the restaurant you should feel like you've been garlic marinated. This is our mission from God.

The food is fantastic and they serve garlic in everything. You have to try garlic beer!

Avoid eating fresh fruit after meal

By Myriam Benali in Anywhere  |  1 year ago  |  1 comments

Fruit is marvellous, but our society has taught us a bad habit regarding the time we eat it. We often finish our meal by eating an apple. As this fruit digests quicker (in about 30 minutes) than most of the other cooked food (meat, pasta, cheese etc), it will cause fermentation and indigestion and our body will be unable to absorb the essential nutrients that we wanted to get from the fruit.

What we consider to be a desert it is in fact a snack or a meal by itself that should be taken separately. The correct time to eat the fruit is an hour before a meal. This way, vitamins will be correctly absorbed.
