If an iPhone app seems to be locked up hold the Home button for six seconds. This should bring you to Home.

Now, if that doesn't work, don't worry. You can try reseting your iPhone: simply hold the sleep/wake button and the home button and the same time. Press and hold until the Apple logo appears.

How to take pictures with the iPhone

Do you know that the iPhone actually takes the picture when you release the button, not when you press it? So, if you want to take a self-photo with your phone, press and hold the button when the screen is facing you and turn the iPhone while still holding the button. When you are ready, just let it go.

This tip is also useful if you're waiting for the perfect moment to take a picture. Just hold the button pressed and let it go when everyone is in place.
