The library of Babel - black hole of the internet search

By Isabelle PANISSIE in Anywhere  |  1 year ago  |  0 comments

Library of Babel is a word game similar to the one played by Surrealists at the beginning of the 20th century. It is an automatic search of words in unlimited combinations put together in the form of aphorisms, haiku poems and theater.

Example of aphorisms:

  • The creator could be casual instead he is menacingly circumstantial (Dara Graffigny)
  • Love is not a sensory, it is an anemopsis. What a clean-cut cassareep ! (Moncef Sainte-Beuve)
  • Life is as incoercible as an egotistic vitriol (Renaldo Le Goffic)
  • Society is not a demarkation, it is an influence. What an hæmatoid ability ! (Terry Taine)
  • Devil could be legal instead he is elatedly bonneted (Fahed Blanc)
  • Existence is as warm-blooded as a sibling puddling (Quentin Piroli)
  • Better an elritch matrimony in Japan than a paramount rapture in Denmark
  • Life is as cerial as a lasting pleurite (Samih Lamartine)

How to change the spell checker in Google Chrome

By Laurent Leprivier in Anywhere  |  2 years ago  |  0 comments

Do you type too fast? Google Chrome has a built-in spell-checker to automatically check what you're typing into web forms and text fields. Go to the "Fonts and Languages" dialog to adjust spell-checker settings. Follow these steps (for Windows):

  1. Click the Tools menu.
  2. Select Options.
  3. Click the Under the Hood tab.
  4. Click Change font and language settings.
    • Click the Languages tab.
    • Select the "Check spelling" checkbox if you want Google Chrome to automatically check your spelling.
  5. Select the language you want to use in the "Spell-checker language" drop-down menu.
  6. Click OK to save your settings.

Add a new word to the dictionary

If the spell-checker keeps underlining a word that you often use, right-click the word and select Add to dictionary. At this time, it's not possible to remove a word from the dictionary.
